It has been comparatively studied the forms of Turan type of wheat with different ecological origins and turanoid forms formed as a result of hybridization and gathered into gene pool from Azerbaijan area, Devedishi, the ancient people selection species of Azerbaijan, which is related to the type of T.turanicum Jakubz., Turanicum-186 gained by I.D.Mustafayev based on electrophoreogram of gliadine fraction of protein. The Devedishi in Azerbaijan and the selection of popular species Turatish in other Turkic states has been proved to be of the same origin. The Turan wheat is a donor for the formation of big grained, high-quality wheat. This species has been proven to be one of the parental forms in the evolution of the Secale L.
